MANAGING DIRECTOR

Prior to founding Walton Funding, Kav was a founding partner at SouthCap Brokerage Group, a private wealth management consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Previously, he was an investment banker with Credit Suisse. While at Credit Suisse, Kav served as Vice President of Fixed Income in the New York headquarters.

Kav is currently board chair for Essential 2 Life, a mentoring and leadership program for at risk teens. He has also served with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. He has been a guest speaker for the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Million Dollar Round Table, and the Southern Federal Tax Institute.

Kav and his wife Celia live in Inlet Beach, FL with their son Huxley.

DIRECTOR OF RESIDENTIAL LENDING

Robert Cornett joins Walton Funding from Atlanta with over 15 years experience in mortgage lending. In his early career, Robert performed roles including mortgage loan origination, processing, and closing functions. Gradually he built his operation, eventually managing a team of loan originators funding FHA/VA, conventional, jumbo and construction/rehab loans. One of his top agents mentioned, “How many loan officers are consistently emailing me back until 9 or 10 o'clock at night.”

Robert is a graduate of Carson Newman University, where he was a member of the men's tennis team. He led the team to a South Atlantic Conference championship where he was awarded MVP. He currently resides in Inlet Beach, FL.

DIRECTOR

Jacob has been with the Walton Funding team since 2018. He has held several positions with our front and back office teams. He is currently assisting the company in its expansion into new markets and working with the private lending team.

Prior to joining Walton Funding Jacob worked with Fortune 500 companies in the Atlanta area. Jacob moved from 30A to Sarasota, FL in 2019 and enjoys boating, fishing, and the coastal lifestyle.

SENIOR LOAN OFFICER

A lifelong native of Destin, FL, Michael moved back to 30A at the end of 2019. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University and a Charter Life Underwriters Designation from the American College of Financial Services. Michael spent 10 years in the Estate Planning and Wealth Transfer industry while residing in Southwest Georgia.

Michael’s deep roots in the Fort Walton Beach and Destin area coupled with his family's real estate investment company provide for hands on knowledge into the fast-paced property acquisition and short-term rental markets that Walton Funding provides clients financing in every day.

Between long summer days spent at the beach with his wife Delanie and dogs Parker and Reese. Michael loves to spend his free time either offshore fishing or surfing breaks up and down the panhandle.

REGIONAL PRESIDENT OF LENDING

Lee joined Walton Funding to help drive business growth in Charleston, SC and the surrounding markets. He has over 2 decades of real estate investment experience. He also brings over 25 years of knowledge from multiple industries including: Financial Services, Real Estate Investment, the Construction Industry and Wealth Management. He has held various positions within these industries that have included: Sales Management, Operations Management, Financial Services Management, and Investment Management. He has also co-founded and managed several successful small businesses across a few different industries. Lee received his MBA from the College of William & Mary.

Lee believes in giving back and building life-long relationships within the communities that he has lived and worked. He enjoys attending sporting events, especially college football games, and travelling with family and friends.

Lee currently resides and loves living in Charleston, SC with his wife Amy, their daughters Heidi and Holly and their Chocolate Lab, Sophie.

LEAD BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, CHARLESTON

Turner was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston where he fell in love with the city and the entire Lowcountry region.

Turner moved to New York after graduation where he began working in the mortgage industry. Today, Turner lives in Charleston with his fiance, Jordan, and English Springer Spaniel, Pepper. He joined the Walton Funding team in late 2022 and is excited to bring private lending expertise to Charleston and its surrounding islands.

Outside of work, Turner can be seen daily walking his dog through the streets of Downtown Charleston. He also loves golf and is very active in Charleston’s world class food scene.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

With nearly two decades of mortgage operations experience, Henry joined Walton Funding in 2022 as Managing Director of Operations. His career has included leadership positions in loan fulfillment, credit risk, and strategic management.

Prior to Walton, Henry worked for several national mortgage companies and banks, including MetLife, Stearns Lending, First National , and PNC. A Pennsylvania native, he resides in Pittsburgh and enjoys reading, music, and spending time with his two daughters.

CONTROLLER

Tammie graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. With over 25 years of experience in public and private accounting, she has a wealth of experience from working at PricewaterhouseCooopers in the audit practice to working at Darlington School as the Controller. Tammie is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida, and she oversees the company’s financial reporting, accounting, and related internal controls functions.

Tammie and her husband, Doug, relocated to the panhandle of Florida in May of 2019 along with their daughter, Georgia. She enjoys spending time with family and friends on their boat and at the beach.
